December Newsletter

12-01-2019From the PrincipalMrs. Catherine Lucero

Dear Parents,

Advent begins on December 1. This is a time when we prepare our homes and hearts for the birth of our Savior. During advent we ask that each family find the time each day to pray together and reflect on all of your blessings.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School will have a team of professional teachers and administrators come to school to validate the document that the faculty and staff wrote about our school. In this document the faculty and staff recognized our strengths and areas of growth. The team will be on the school campus for three days in February (February 19-21). As part of the Accreditation Process we chose three areas for growth.

  1. To develop an evaluation process that will assess the Blended Learning Program to ensure that each students academic needs are being met.
  2. To evaluate the Intervention Program implemented in 2019-20 school year for its effectiveness to student learning.
  3. The students of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School will reflect and demonstrate their understanding and embodiment of the SLEs. Every quarter the school will focus on one SLE and the students will show how they applied the characteristics. By the end of the school year, the students will have reflected on all four SLEs.

Queridos padres,

Dear Parents,

Ask your children about the Student Learning Expectations and Mission Statement. We say them during morning announcements and they know both so well. The Student Learning Expectations is a list of qualities we are striving for all of our students to understand and live. Our Mission Statement is what drives our school and is who we area as a school community. Both are located in your Parent Handbook.

Queridos padres,

September News

09-05-2019From the PrincipalMrs. Catherine Lucero

Dear Parents,

We are trying to make the parking lot safe and we need your help. Please follow the signs and teacher directions each day.

We ask that parents kiss their children goodbye at the gate. The students know where to go and can play for a little while until the whistle blows. The reason for this is that the parking lot gets super busy when everyone leaves at the same time and it is dangerous. We ask that you do not walk your children to class. The teachers will pick them up and take them to class.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping the children safe.

Catherine Lucero, MA
Principal

Beginning September 4 we will offer Legion of Mary for students in grades 2-5. A permission slip was sent home last Thursday. Students cannot attend the permission slip is returned to the School Office. Thank you.

Choir is open to students in grades 2-8. Mr. Davis will send information home this week so please look for this information in your child's folder.
