Elementary School at OLPH Glendale

Building Bright Futures, One Little Knight at a Time

Empowering students to explore, learn, and grow in a caring Catholic community.

There is a moment before the first school bell rings, before homework folders are opened and science experiments take shape — when you are looking for the best for your child to thrive. You are not just searching for a school. You are searching for a place where your child can grow with confidence and faith.

At Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, our elementary school is built with that moment in mind. We understand the questions parents of 1st–5th grade students often ask:

  • Will my child be challenged academically while still feeling supported?
  • How will faith be woven into everyday learning?
  • Will my child develop the social skills and confidence to thrive?
  • Are creativity, critical thinking, and leadership encouraged?
  • How will I stay connected to my child’s journey at school?

Our elementary school program in Glendale, AZ, reflects the heart of our mission: a caring community where children are guided to grow spiritually and academically. Here, students explore and flourish in an environment that blends faith and learning.

Program Details

At OLPH Catholic School in Glendale, Arizona, our elementary school program for Grades 1st through 5th provides a strong academic foundation rooted in Catholic faith and values. As a Roman Catholic school, we partner with families to educate the whole child – academically and spiritually. We prepare students for long-term success in middle school and beyond.

Our elementary curriculum focuses on reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and critical thinking. Students are challenged to think independently, collaborate effectively, and develop strong study habits that support academic success. Small class sizes and dedicated teachers ensure each child receives personalized attention and support.

Faith formation is integrated into every part of the school day. Through daily prayer, weekly Mass and Adoration, sacramental life, and service opportunities, students learn to live the Gospel in practical ways. This faith-centered approach helps children develop leadership skills by nurturing strong character and encouraging empathy.

By the end of 5th grade, OLPH Catholic School aims to help students become confident learners, effective communicators, and compassionate leaders. Students must be well prepared for the academic expectations of Middle School and ready to continue growing in faith and knowledge. Schedule a tour to learn how OLPH Catholic School can support your child’s growth during these important elementary years.

Learning Environment

At OLPH, students receive a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom. Through enrichment opportunities like art, music, physical education, robotics, STEM Club, and the Junior Chef Club, among many others, students are encouraged to explore new interests and discover their individual strengths.

Clubs, activities, and special programs give students ample opportunities to explore interests, work as part of a team, and build confidence. This helps develop a genuine love of learning that does not end when the school day does.

A Faith Centered Classroom

Children experience Catholic values in both words and action.

Faith is incorporated into every part of the school experience at OLPH. Students participate in daily prayer, weekly Mass and Adoration, monthly Rosary, religion classes, and service opportunities, helping them grow in their understanding of the Gospel and the sacramental life of the Church.

Through these experiences, students develop a strong moral foundation, learning to live their faith through service and care for others, both inside and outside the classroom.

Family Connection and Communication

Parents are valued partners in their child’s learning journey. Open and consistent communication is very important. To keep families informed, teachers provide weekly newsletters that include lesson themes and classroom updates. Ongoing communication is encouraged, and teachers are available by email and in person. Urgent concerns are addressed immediately to ensure strong collaboration and support for every child.

Safe Spaces for Growth

Students grow best in an environment that is structured and supportive. At OLPH Catholic School, our classrooms balance clear expectations with increasing independence, helping students feel confident and ready to learn each day.

Our classrooms offer:

  • Small class sizes that allow teachers to know and support each student
  • Consistent daily schedules that support academic focus and time management
  • A secure campus with monitored access and clear arrival and dismissal procedures

“We’re parents of three students at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and we’re grateful for how much they’ve grown: spiritually, academically, and emotionally. The teachers challenge them with a strong curriculum, nurture their development, and prepare them for a strong future.”
