Preschool at OLPH Glendale

Explore a full-day Catholic program where children ages 3-5 build strong foundations in faith, learning, and independence.

There’s a moment long before the first bag is packed, before the goodbye at the classroom door — when you’re scrolling, asking, wondering. You’re not just looking for any school. You’re searching for the place where your child will be gently guided through these first real steps into the world.

At Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, we’ve shaped our preschool with that moment in mind. We understand the questions that surface right away.

  • Is it full-day?
  • Will my child be ready for kindergarten?
  • Will faith be part of their everyday learning — or just an idea on paper?
  • And will I, as a parent, feel connected and informed?

Our preschool program in Glendale, AZ, reflects the heart of our mission: a community grounded in faith and focused on the full development of each child. You will discover a place that invites young learners into a rhythm that blends spiritual formation with intentional learning.

Learning Environment

Preschool sets the tone for how children experience school: how they learn to listen, share space, ask questions, and find comfort in daily routines. At Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School in Glendale, we approach these early years with care and intention.

A Faith-Filled, Values-Based Classroom

Children experience Catholic values in both words and action.

  • Daily classroom prayer and participation in Mass
  • Weekly Gospel reflection and activities
  • Catholic alphabet lessons (A is for Angel, B is for Baptism…)
  • Core values practiced daily: respect, gratitude, teamwork, and joy
Family Connection and Communication

To us, parents are partners. Teachers provide weekly newsletters to parents that include lesson themes, classroom updates, and snack schedules. During drop-off, families can check the preschool bulletin board for lunch menus, emergency info, and upcoming events. Communication is open, direct, and encouraged. Our teachers are available by email and in person, and urgent concerns are addressed immediately.

Safe, Predictable Spaces for Growth

Young children thrive when they know what to expect. At OLPH Glendale, our preschool classrooms are built around calm routines, thoughtful transitions, and consistent adult presence.

  • 15:2 student-to-teacher ratio allows for meaningful attention
  • Daily rhythm includes breakfast, lunch, nap, and outdoor play
  • Secure campus with monitored access and clear pickup protocols

“We’re parents of three students at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and we’re grateful for how much they’ve grown: spiritually, academically, and emotionally. The teachers challenge them with a strong curriculum, nurture their development, and prepare them for a strong future.”

Meet our Teachers

Ms. Veronica Hernandez

Bachelor of Arts, Grand Canyon University

“I teach preschool because I believe it’s one of the most important moments in a child’s life. For many, it’s the first time they’ve been apart from their parents. I work to create a classroom that feels warm, safe, and full of discovery, where we explore faith, build routines, and help each child feel confident in who they are.”

Ms. Naomi Mundattuchundayil

“One example of how I get to know my students on a personal level is through our community circles each morning. We talk about their favorite things, what makes them happy, and little moments that matter to them. I also focus on teaching manners, encouraging them to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you,’ and helping them learn names, including mine, so they feel seen and respected.”
