Learning Environment

A season of discovery.

Our kindergarten program nurtures content mastery and character development through faith-based instruction, giving every child the foundation they need to flourish.

A Differentiated Curriculum Every child is made uniquely in God’s image — and we teach with that in mind. Through comprehensive assessments, we tailor instruction to each child’s individual needs, balancing academic, motor, social, and spiritual growth throughout the year.

Purposeful Character Development Faith is woven into every school day. Students attend Wednesday Mass, daily prayer, Friday Adoration, and a monthly school-wide Rosary. Parents partner with teachers in character formation, while P.E., Music, and Art give children space to discover their God-given talents.

Love Is Part of Learning Our teachers know that children grow best when they feel safe and loved. Through clear boundaries and a nurturing environment, students are encouraged to make mistakes, learn from them, and grow — always guided by the example of Jesus’ kindness and patience.

Technology as a Tool Technology supports learning at OLPH — it doesn’t lead it. Students explore safe, purposeful uses of technology, and get to interact with Ben Ben (our humanoid robot) and La Chona (our beloved cyber dog 🐾), sparking a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world’s most advanced technologies.

We’d Love to Meet You!

Kindergarten Curriculum

At Our Lady of Perpetual Help, our kindergarten core curriculum is thoughtfully designed to build strong academic foundations while keeping faith at the center of every school day. Our little learners engage in a rich, well-rounded program that spans:

  • Religion & Faith Formation
  • Reading & Language Arts
  • Writing
  • Math
  • Science
  • Social Studies

Complementing the core curriculum, students also enjoy Art, Music, and P.E. — specialist classes that nurture creativity, self-expression, and physical well-being, and give every child the opportunity to discover their God-given talents.

Our kindergarten program lays a strong academic foundation for first grade and beyond, while honoring the natural developmental needs of young learners. We nurture gross and fine motor skills, social skills, and independence — preparing students for the expectations of elementary school in a warm, supportive environment.

Learning at OLPH is both collaborative and personal. Students experience group activities and independent study, building teamwork alongside self-discipline. A few times a week, students also bring home assignments to gently establish healthy study habits and keep families connected to classroom learning.

At OLPH, every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and valued. Student safety is our highest priority — and it begins with our Catholic values. By modeling and teaching respect, kindness, and compassion, we cultivate a school culture where every child belongs. Our campus maintains dedicated safety protocols and conducts thorough background checks on all staff, so families can feel confident their child is in caring, trustworthy hands.
