Glendale, AZ — Big ideas, bold creativity, and a mission to help others led Angel R., David G., and Jesus P. to earn 3rd Place at the Diocesan Science Fair, proudly representing Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School.

Their project went beyond the typical science experiment. With a heart for service and a passion for innovation, they designed and built a device that scans colors and announces them aloud, helping individuals who are colorblind navigate the world more easily. By combining technology with compassion, they turned a creative idea into something that can truly change lives.

At OLPH, students are encouraged to dream big, think creatively, and use their talents to serve others. This project is a powerful example of what happens when curiosity meets purpose—and when students are inspired to make an impact.

Congratulations to Angel R., David G., and Jesus P. for showing that science isn’t just about discovery—it’s about making a difference.
